Our Story

I grew up in a Christian family, as a pastor’s child and a missionary kid. Faith has always been part of my life. But living it hasn’t always felt easy.

I go to church on Sundays and stand in the choir. Still, reading the Bible, sharing my faith, and being present in Christian community can sometimes feel like burdens. And admitting that is hard. There’s guilt in feeling that I should be doing more, and knowing how often I fall short of those expectations.

Prayer is the connection I keep coming back to.

I come to God for peace, direction, and comfort. I come to praise Him for who He is. When relationships and expectations weigh me down, being able to speak honestly with Him keeps me grounded.

For me, saying “Amen” is a way of placing things in His hands: let Your will be done. I don’t always know what comes next, but I can ask for guidance and trust Him with what I can’t figure out.

Sometimes, that peace brings me back to the very things that felt heavy. I find myself wanting to open my Bible, connect with someone, or share a little of my faith.

And sometimes prayer is as ordinary as finding a good parking spot at the store and saying, “Thank You. Amen.”

Those little moments of gratitude help me notice goodness in a life that can feel chaotic and busy. They remind me that I can turn to God in the middle of an ordinary day, exactly where I am.

That’s the heart behind Say Amen.

Through journals, prayers, songs, and stories, I hope to offer a little encouragement to make room for that connection - to bring God what’s weighing on you, seek His guidance, praise Him, and notice something to be thankful for along the way.
